Blackboard Learn Faculty Training Information

Welcome to the Connecticut Community College System's Blackboard resources and information site. This site is intended to provide resources to faculty, staff, and students seeking more information about our Blackboard course management system, and how online technology can enhance the learning and teaching process in our system.

Find the Training You're Looking for! Faculty who wish to attend training in Blackboard can find classes on our system’s IITT Course Cart Online Registration System for faculty and staff.

Blackboard is used to facilitate the creation and delivery of web-based educational environments. Blackboard provides a standardized interface used by both faculty and students, which includes a set of online educational tools to facilitate learning, communication and collaboration. It’s also got some great new features, like folder-based navigation from the menu for easy navigation to all course content, the ability to create student-specific blogs as well as student journals, robust new rubric tools, a built-in wiki tool and other collaborative group tools, and much more.
