The Effective Teaching with Technology seminars have proven to be extremely popular with our faculty, and have been offered on a regular basis at various locations around our system. Details of scheduled sessions, when available, will be listed below. To register in any of these sessions, please do so via the IITT Course Cart online registration system for faculty and staff training. These sessions provide faculty with the opportunity to learn about various teaching strategies using Blackboard Vista and other technologies, in web-enhanced classroom-based courses, as well as in hybrid or fully online courses. The sessions generally include faculty presenters who provide a tour of their courses and discuss instructional methods and tips that they feel have helped enhance teaching and learning in their classes, and include plenty of Q&A opportunities or panel discussions. These are not hands-on training sessions, and no pre-requisite knowledge or experience with Blackboard Vista is needed! Some forums will also provide opportunities for faculty to sign up and get peer feedback on their own Blackboard Vista course sections.
