The links below will direct you to various tutorials and short online
courses that can help faculty and staff develop essential skill sets and
competencies when working with Microsoft Office and other desktop
applications to create content for online courses or general documents, presentations, etc.
Documentation links have their file formats indicated. Most of the tutorials have narration, so use headphones or speakers.

Adobe Creative Suites Video Workshop - Tons of free,
easy-to-follow video tutorials from "getting started" to
advanced topics on how how use most Adobe apps, including
Photoshop, InDesign, Contribute, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash,
Illustrator, and Acrobat 8 Professional.

Camtasia Studio is used to create Web-friendly
multimedia tutorials from your PowerPoints, also to create screen
recordings that can be used to demonstrate software applications,
website navigation, etc.

Low Threshold Applications for Faculty
What's a
"Low
Threshold Application"? It's a simple, unintimidating, easily
digestible piece of technological information related to teaching
and learning. You'll find quick and easy instructions on how to do
things that faculty would find helpful, such as "Creating a
grade roster in Excel", "Adding audio to PowerPoint",
"Creating simple animated GIFs", etc.

If you are a fulltime faculty or staff member at any of
the twelve community colleges, you are eligible to make use of a
number of online training courses in Microsoft products, which are
available from www.microsoft.com.
For more information about obtaining an access code that will allow
you to make use of these courses, please contact your college's
local IT director.

All CT Community Colleges faculty are automatically
provided with a "commnet" email address on the system's email
server, which can be accessed via the Internet by using Outlook Web
Access. For more info, go to

instructions and overview. Tutorials and documentation related to
how to use MS Outlook and Exchange Server are available.
Please note, however, that prior to accessing your email via OWA from home,
you must first log into the CCC network from an on-campus PC to
