Northwestern CT Community College – Master Plan II
Phase II facilities development at
Northwestern Community College includes a new 32,000 GSF building for
Arts & Science Programs. The building will include new labs for
drawing, painting and ceramics, graphic arts studios, science labs,
computer labs, general-purpose classrooms, and faculty offices. The
building is to be sited on the Holabird Avenue parking lot.
Phase II also includes renovations at
Greenwoods Hall that consist of window replacement throughout the
building, plus the addition of a 50 car parking lot. Also included in
Phase II is the completion of the underground campus-wide telecom and
data connectivity that terminated at the Goulet property.
The project was bid in the fall of 2003 and
bonded in December 2003. Ultimately, the low bidders withdrew due to
market conditions, and the bid was cancelled. The project is
anticipated to be re-bid by September 2004.
