Academic & Career Skills Center

Health Career Advising

Health Career Advisors (HCA's) are available in each of the five Connecticut Workforce Investment Board regions to assist your career planning. Working in partnership with the Workforce Investment System, Connecticut Community Colleges and other regional partners.

Health Career Advisors provide:

  • Information on healthcare professions
  • Information on regional education and training programs
  • HOBET (Health Occupation Basic Entrance Test) testing
  • Assistance in developing Individual Education and Health Career Plans

Health Careers Orientation are offered monthly in each region (with the exception of the South Central Region). For more information contact the HCA in your region.
