The Connecticut General Assembly, through the passage of Public Acts 00-220 and 01-173,
requires an approved set of comparable or “peer” institutions that have similar missions,
roles and characteristics to the twelve Connecticut Community Colleges.
It is against these peers that comparisons are made as appropriate for each institution.
