Samples

Fall 2007 Sample: A total of 16,940 people were identified as students for whom this was their first college experience or transfer students and 4,411 (26%) responded to the survey. Of the 4,411 respondents to the survey 4,303 (98%) were matched with their demographic data from the Banner student information system. The Fall 2007 findings are based on this matched sample.

Fall 2006 Sample: A total of 15,977 people were identified as students for whom this was their first college experience or transfer students and 4,236 (27%) responded to the survey. Of the 4,236 respondents to the survey 4,116 (99%) were matched with their demographic data from the Banner student information system. The Fall 2007 findings are based on this matched sample.

Fall 2005 Sample: A total of 15,894 people were identified as students for whom this was their first college experience or transfer students and 3,455 (22%) responded to the survey. Of the 3,455 respondents to the survey 3,407 (99%) were matched with their demographic data from the Banner student information system. The Fall 2005 findings are based on this matched sample.

Fall 2004 Sample: A total of 15,728 people were identified as students for whom this was their first college experience or transfer students and 3,592 (23%) responded to the survey. Of the 3,592 respondents to the survey 3,551 (99%) were matched with their demographic data from the Banner student information system. The Fall 2004 findings are based on this matched sample.

Fall 2003 Sample: A total of 16,329 people were identified as students for whom this was their first college experience or transfer students and 3,796 (23%) responded to the survey. Of the 3,796 respondents to the survey 3,761 (98%) were matched with their demographic data from the Banner student information system. The Fall 2003 findings are based on this matched sample.

Fall 2002 Sample: A total of 16,174 people were identified as students for whom this was their first college experience or transfer students and 3,535 (22%) responded to the survey. Of the 3,535 respondents to the survey 3,458 (98%) were matched with their demographic data from the Banner student information system. The Fall 2002 findings are based on this matched sample.
