The Community Colleges partner with Connecticut Charts-A-Course, the career development system for early childhood and school age care, to expand educational opportunities and ensure quality care for Connecticut's children.
Specializing in Early Childhood Education can begin with preparatory certification in Child Development and progress to an
associate degree at the 12 Connecticut Community Colleges. Students can then expand their professional qualifications and job opportunities by continuing their studies at the bachelor's level and beyond at colleges and universities, including the Connecticut State Universities, in an integrated curriculum that offers the opportunity for transfer.
