Transfer Opportunities

                                                                           Transfer Coordinators

                                                                        Attention High-Schoolers

There are exciting opportunities offered through Guaranteed Admissions Programs with Connecticut’s four-year public higher education institutions – The University of Connecticut and Connecticut State Universities. There are also curriculum pathways to public and private colleges through transfer agreements and the College of Technology for students interested in engineering and technology. For graduates of the Connecticut Community College Nursing Program there are agreements in place for educational advancement.

The individual Community Colleges also have transfer agreements with numerous independent colleges and universities. See also CT Charts-A-Course (CCAC) for Early Childhood Education transfer opportunities.

Community College students can transfer credits earned in associate degree or certificate programs to continue to the baccalaureate level. Each year over 3,000 students transfer from a Community College to continue their studies at private and public two-year and four-year colleges and universities. Almost half of the new students, including transfer students, entering the community colleges reported their primary goal as transferring with an associate degree and numerous articulation agreements help students to realize their goals.

The advice provided by each college's counseling staff can help streamline transfer and ensure selection of appropriate courses in each field of study. Guaranteed admissions programs offer counseling on site at the Community Colleges to provide ongoing advice to ensure a smooth transition. Call the Community College near you today to talk about your goals and to find out more about transferring.

For complete information on all the transfer agreements, check with the Counseling Office at the Community College of your choice.
