Meeting Minutes
- Meeting called to order at 6:04 p.m. by Michelle Kojima.
- Members in attendance were as follows:
Michelle Kojima, President
Lorraine Sakowski, Vice President
Andrea Carrier, Secretary
Dawn Politz, Treasurer
Jim Koplar
- Michelle Kojima passed out and summarized the October 7, 1999 Agenda.
- Discussed the Honors Study Topics – Issue #2 and Issue #7. Michelle will see what
she can dig up regarding Y2K compliance. Dawn volunteered to implement Idea #1 of Issue #2
and will provide a written description of her day.
- Discussed having an informal Fall induction. Jim Koplar suggested that we take pictures
for the bulletin board. Dawn suggested that the informal Fall induction take place on
11/8/99. Dawn will continue to cross reference her possible inductee list so that letters
and applications can be sent to the prospective members. A list will also be compiled to
inform absent current members of upcoming events. Michelle Kojima will obtain at least 62
postcards to be sent to the absent members.
- Motion was made by Michelle Kojima to have PTK participate in the Military Mail for the
Christmas Holiday. Motion was seconded by Dawn Politz. None opposed, none abstained, all
were in favor. Motion was passed.
- Each member should bring in 25 cards with a personal letter in each for the 11/8/99
General Chapter Meeting.
- Andrea will follow up to obtain the additional information on making donations to the
Connecticut Childrens Place Facility in East Windsor. She has left a voice message but has
not received a response yet.
- Michelle mentioned that we will still need someone to attend Student Government Meetings
and if anyone is available on those dates that they should attend.
- Michelle Kojima makes a motion to adjourn meeting, seconded by Jim Koplar. Meeting
adjourned at 6:44 p.m.
